The Pines 1852 Pinot Noir, 2012, Oregon

13 Aug

DSCN1791-001The Pines Pinot Noir is a big, lush, crowd-pleasing expression of the varietal. It’s heavy on the fruit without sacrificing the balanced acidity that makes Pinot Noir such a versatile wine. In addition to the typical aromas of cherry, berry and spice, there’s an unmistakable note of cherry cordial to the wine, and this inviting component translates to the palate. The finish is velvety and should complement nicely a sweet and spicy lamb tagine. $28
