Here’s another odd bird from Paragon Vineyard: a California bottling of Austria’s ambassador grape, Grüner Veltliner. Flavors of ripe melon, fruit cocktail and limeade follow Grüner’s classic white pepper nose. Rich and round, but not lacking in acidity or steely minerality.
